Rubbish Day on Cromwell Street
At first the movement was just me and Jono. We played a bit at groundswell and I think I got to play some shows at the impromptu stage at blackstump. Then, in the few weeks that I had between finishing my Maths and IT studies at university (QUT), and starting my first job as a computer programmer at QSI Payments, Inc. I talked to some good friends (Caleb James and Scott Mullane) and got me about 3 days at Scott's Studio with Caleb pressing the buttons.

Well of course, I needed a band if I was going to do a recording. I enlisted 2 guys that I lived with (Murray "Speedy" McKenny, and my younger brother "Country" Carl Hockey) and my cousin ("Charismatic Colin Hockey) and we were a rocking 5 piece.

Back then, I think we were more fun - especially when Carl would bring his stockwhip and perform daring whipcracking feats. I think our performance at 'Rock the Dock' was one of the last where Carl played and brought his whip.
